Robotics applied to the field of rehabilitation constitutes an emerging area in research focusing on the use of robotic systems that interact with the patient in order to complement or improve his therapy. THERABOT comprises the design and development of new technical solutions that enable the automation and qualitative assessment of therapy applied to patients affected by medullary lesions and cerebrovascular accidents.
The project ‘Robot assisted maintenance therapy for patients affected by medullary lesions and cerebrovascular accidents (THERABOT)’ has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the ‘Operational Programme Science and Education for Smart Growth 2014-2020’ and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain. This Project has been coordinated by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) with number 20151115.
