Magtel has carried out the renovation of two air handling units (AHUs) with the aim of improving the air conditioning system of the Data Processing Center (DPC) at ZOCO DPC in Seville.
The project involved the following actions:
- Disconnection and removal of the current refrigerant lines, both inside and outside the DPC, including horizontal and vertical routing. This required the use of a lifting platform.
- Disconnection of electrical protections and the electrical wiring for the incoming and outgoing connections of the removed equipment.
- Reinforcement of the false floor panels in the area of the DPC where the AHUs are being removed, including the installation of temporary steel plates for the passage of the dismantled AHUs.
- Removal of the AHUs (both indoor and outdoor units) using the necessary materials, tools, and a crane truck for their extraction from the building due to the challenges involved in their location.
- Disassembly and removal of the support structures for the removed equipment.
These actions were taken to upgrade and enhance the air conditioning system of the DPC, ensuring improved performance and efficiency.
