Removal of Telephone Block Signalling on the Cotos–Cercedilla Section
The removal of the telephone block signalling system on the Cotos–Cercedilla railway section involves the comprehensive modernisation of signalling systems by replacing an operational model based on telephone communications with a more advanced and safer technological solution.
The project consists of upgrading railway control and operational systems through the elimination of the telephone block system and the implementation of a modern signalling solution.
The scope includes the installation of automatic train detection systems, new signalling equipment, trackside technical assets, and the adaptation of power supply and telecommunications infrastructure.
