During 2022, our Energy Division carried out energy retrofitting work on the thermal envelope and the renewal of thermal biomass facilities in nursery and primary schools located in the province of Córdoba. Specifically, these types of projects were developed in the towns of Torrecampo, Villaralto, Algallarín, and San Sebastián de los Ballesteros.

The latest technologies have been applied to the rehabilitation and improvement systems of the building envelope and the adaptation of its facilities to optimize their energy performance to the fullest extent.

Specifically, we carried out the following actions:

• Thermal envelope renovation
• Replacement of diesel fuel boiler with biomass boiler
• Replacement of windows with better thermal resistance
• Replacement of exterior windows with thermal break and double glazing
• Energy rehabilitation of roof and façade
• Replacement of electric underfloor heating with biomass boiler and installation of pipes and radiators
• Construction of boiler room and pellet storage silo
• Additionally, within this scope, we also replaced and thermally improved the tile roof, as well as upgraded the enclosure and replaced the exterior windows of the multipurpose building in Villaharta, also located in the province of Córdoba.
• All these interventions, carried out under the Energy Division’s Energy Efficiency section, have achieved the following:
• Reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions
• Improvement of efficiency and energy savings compared to the initial situation
• Adaptation of the facilities to regulatory standards.
