Magtel Women’s Leadership 2026: Driving Equality and Increasing the Presence of Women in Andalusia’s Industrial Sector

Magtel’s Commitment to Equality and the Empowerment of Female Talent

Equality between women and men remains one of today’s foremost social and business challenges, and within this context Magtel’s commitment to women’s leadership in 2026 takes on particular significance. Despite the progress achieved in recent years, persistent gaps remain that call for sustained effort and genuine engagement from organisations, institutions and society as a whole. At a time when industrial and technological transformation is reshaping Andalusia’s productive landscape, it is essential to promote more inclusive environments, encourage women’s participation in traditionally male-dominated sectors, and recognise the talent that is already helping to drive this change.

In this vein, Magtel has a well-established track record in the field of equality, integrating this principle as a cross-cutting pillar of its organisational culture. The company is actively working on the implementation of policies that strengthen women’s participation and professional development across all areas, particularly those related to engineering, technology and industry. This commitment is reflected both in the adoption of internal measures aimed at ensuring equal opportunities and in the attainment of official certifications and recognitions that endorse its dedication to fair and equitable working environments.

Auxiliadora López Magdaleno, a Leading Figure in Female Leadership within Andalusia’s Industrial Sector

Auxiliadora López Magdaleno, Board Member at Magtel and President of the Magtel Foundation, has recently been recognised in a feature published by Diario Córdoba as one of the most influential figures in female leadership within Andalusia’s green industry.

In this feature, López Magdaleno reflects on the period of transformation currently underway in Córdoba’s industrial sector, driven by green reindustrialisation, digitalisation and logistics. She also highlights the need to attract professionals with strong technical training, a clear commitment to sustainability and a high capacity for adaptation, while pointing out the ongoing challenges faced by women in heavily male-dominated sectors.

At the same time, she emphasises that female leadership brings added value, a diversity of perspectives and an approach closely linked to the social impact of organisations.

Auxiliadora López Magdaleno Recognised Among the 100 Leading Women in Andalusia’s Industrial Sector

The Regional Government of Andalusia has identified one hundred women as leading figures within the Andalusian industrial ecosystem, a selection that includes several professionals from Córdoba with outstanding career paths. Among them is the President of the Magtel Foundation, whose professional trajectory and contribution to the development of the sector position her as a key figure in areas such as the energy transition, technological innovation and industrial modernisation.

This recognition highlights the transformative leadership that many women are exercising within the sector. Their presence not only contributes to the advancement of these strategic areas, but also helps to raise the visibility of new generations of female technical and executive professionals who are expanding their role in Andalusia’s industrial landscape and providing essential perspectives for its continued growth.

Magtel, Andalusian Brand of Excellence in Equality

Magtel’s commitment to equality has become one of the fundamental pillars of its corporate culture. In June 2025, the company was awarded the Andalusian Brand of Excellence in Equality, a distinction granted by the Regional Government of Andalusia to organisations that stand out for promoting gender equality in the workplace and business environment. This recognition acknowledges Magtel’s efforts to integrate policies that foster equal access to employment, career development, work–life balance, training and harassment prevention, as well as its firm commitment to diversity at all organisational levels.

The Regional Government of Andalusia included Magtel among the 45 organisations distinguished in the first edition of this award, highlighting its commitment to advancing towards a fairer and more inclusive society, as well as its efforts to promote measures that reduce structural gaps and encourage shared responsibility within Andalusian organisations.

A Track Record Endorsed by Official Commitments

In addition to this distinction, Magtel has received other recognitions that further reinforce its track record in equality. These include the “Equality in the Workplace” Distinction awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Equality and the First Equality Distinction granted by Málaga City Council, both of which reflect the company’s sustained efforts to promote inclusive and equitable working environments, as well as to highlight and support female talent within its teams

An 8 March for Reflection, Visibility and Continued Progress

Within the framework of 8 March, Magtel has made training and awareness-raising materials available to all employees, aimed at fostering an understanding of the impact of gender inequality and the role each individual can play in its eradication. The company emphasises that equality is a collective process that requires information, commitment and active participation.

With Magtel Women’s Leadership 2026, the company continues to make progress towards real equality, strengthens women’s presence in leadership positions, and creates opportunities that translate into measurable and sustainable results.
