Magtel took part in the ‘Vuela Meeting Andalucía 2026’, held at the Granada Conference Centre. The event brought together professionals, public administrations and stakeholders from the digital ecosystem to celebrate the completion of the modernisation of the Vuela Points Network, considered one of the most ambitious digital transformation initiatives undertaken in Andalusia in recent years.
The event, organised by the Andalusian Digital Agency and the Vuela Points Consortium, highlighted the evolution of these spaces, which have transitioned from digital literacy centres to advanced technology hubs equipped with teleworking and coworking areas, multimedia classrooms, digital fabrication laboratories, technology experimentation zones and digital support services for citizens.
Magtel’s Digital Transformation Division, in collaboration with Tier1 S.A., has contributed to this rollout through the full implementation of 83 centres and the technological homogenisation of another 91 in various municipalities across the provinces of Córdoba, Jaén, Málaga and Seville.
The work carried out included the supply and installation of technological equipment, furniture, signage and advanced digital solutions, as well as the incorporation of tools to promote digital learning and new technologies, entrepreneurship, employability and the reduction of the digital divide in Andalusian municipalities. The joint participation of Magtel and Tier1 has enabled the successful delivery of a large‑scale project with high technical and organisational standards.
With more than 760 centres currently in operation, the Vuela Points Network has consolidated itself as a strategic public infrastructure for universal access to technology, particularly in rural municipalities and neighbourhoods with limited resources.
Today, the Vuela Points offer professional support, training resources, access to electronic administration, collaborative workspaces and specialised programmes in digital skills. In the past year alone, hundreds of thousands of participants attended training activities, demonstrating the social and territorial value of this network.
