IEP awards the company in recognition of its business track record and +650 employees

Magtel received the 2019 Business Excellence Award from Instituto para la Excelencia Profesional (IEP), which annually honours the efforts and good performance of Spanish companies.

At the ceremony, staged at Hotel Westin Palace in Madrid, Mar Portal, head of Magtel’s Communications department, accepted the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented by María Jesús Barreñada and Antonio Gabriel Pérez, vice-president and senior VP of IEP, respectively.

Mrs Portal expressed Magtel’s gratitude highlighting the entrepreneurial nature and commitment to innovation shown by this Cordoba-based company. At present Magtel has more than 650 employees and its business involves more than 1,000 indirect jobs. It has operated for 29 years in the energy, environmental, infrastructure, telecommunications, mining, and railway industries.

Apart from Magtel, other leading professionals and companies were honoured, such as Eiffage, Europe’s fifth largest building company, or Alejandro Ibrahim Perera, CEO of Teruel Airport Consortium, Europe’s biggest parking and maintenance hub for large aircrafts.

Instituto para la Excelencia Profesional (IEP)

IEP was incorporated in 2012 for the purpose of awarding quality and vouching for the commitment by Spanish professionals, companies, or institutions with excellence or with Spain’s external projection efforts.

IEP‘s annual Business Excellence Awards usually go to CEOs, institutional representatives, independent professionals, and personalities in recognition of their track record and professional reputation.
