The temporary joint venture (UTE) formed by Dragados, Heliopol and Magtel has been awarded the contract to build the main infrastructure for the future Spanish Army Logistics Base (BLET) in Córdoba, a project promoted by the Ministry of Defence to bring together capabilities currently spread across different locations across the country.
The contract, awarded for €278.5 million, corresponds to Lot 1 of the project and covers the construction of the logistics and weapons systems maintenance infrastructure for the future Spanish Army Logistics Base. The works will be carried out on the La Rinconada site, where associated urbanisation works are already progressing, and will have an execution period of 36 months from the final formalisation of the contract.
The Spanish Army Logistics Base is one of the Ministry of Defence’s flagship projects aimed at transforming and modernising the Army’s logistics network. The development includes the construction of around thirty buildings and facilities that will make up the future military complex.
The project is progressing alongside other planned developments in La Rinconada, including the future Gran Capitán Business Park, which is linked to the area’s industrial and logistics activities.
