On December 19, Magtel professionals gathered to present and review the main milestones achieved by each Division during 2024.
The session was opened by the company’s General Director, Manuel García Lláser, who highlighted Magtel’s upward momentum, stating: “2024 was a year of consolidation, and 2025 will be a year of growth.” He emphasized the importance of unity among all professionals to achieve the goals set for the coming years.
Following his remarks, the directors of each business unit presented the projections and forecasts for their respective Divisions:
- Fernando Olivencia, Director of Digital Transformation, outlined the key projects carried out by his Division, such as the renewal of the operational support service for the telecommunications network of the Regional Government of Andalusia, the simulator developed in collaboration with the University of Seville, and the synergies and alliances maintained with other entities in the sector.
- Álvaro Sánchez, Director of R&D&I, spoke about upcoming patents and trademarks, as well as the strong interest shown at the European level in the nine projects currently underway. He also set objectives for the coming years, particularly focusing on leveraging Magtel’s technology as a commercialization platform.
- The Energy Division, led by Luis Modesto García, emphasized the creation of synergies, client retention, and contract renewals. He highlighted the Division’s interest in focusing on installation and service projects, industrial self-consumption, and operations and maintenance.
- Víctor Jiménez, Director of Engineering, stressed the need to diversify the project portfolio across different service areas. He described the gradual growth of the Division and outlined future objectives in energy, water, industrial, and architectural sectors, which will serve as the Division’s main areas of focus in 2025.
- Javier Gala, Director of Telecommunications, presented the Division’s extensive activity planned for 2025 in R&D and thanked the recruitment team for their efforts in attracting professionals to support the wide project portfolio ahead. He also highlighted internal challenges, including geographical expansion, digitalization of internal management processes, and talent acquisition.
- In Infrastructure, Javier Alférez, together with group leaders Pedro Bustos and Enrique Macho, presented ongoing projects for 2025, such as the completion of the Maternal and Child Hospital of Reina Sofía and the health centers of Bujalance and El Ejido. They also underscored the Division’s commitment to establishing long-term business opportunities to ensure support and autonomy.
- Representing Corporate Services, Adrián Fernández Cárdenas discussed the continuation of the consultancy process aimed at improving company efficiency. He detailed the phases of the audit, including meetings with various departments, functional analysis of work operations, and identification of improvement opportunities. He announced that the second phase will be carried out in the coming weeks of January.
After all the divisional presentations, General Director Manuel García Lláser returned to the stage to summarize the outcomes, encouraging the team to believe in the strength of the results achieved and to embrace the challenges ahead for 2025.
The company’s Vice President, Isidro López Magdaleno, and Board Member, Auxiliadora López Magdaleno, then delivered words of gratitude and motivation, encouraging all professionals to continue their efforts to ensure a successful 2025 filled with shared accomplishments.
To close the day, Alfredo Romeo, an Artificial Intelligence expert, delivered a lecture on AI and business. He provided a historical overview of the field and discussed its potential evolution toward advisory, consulting, and management processes based on knowledge provided by this new technology—while reminding that although AI offers great efficiency, responsibility and rigor in its use always remain with the professional.
The event concluded with a group photo and networking session among colleagues, reinforcing teamwork and the company’s strong commitment to its diverse business sectors.
