2025 has been a year that confirms the strength of Magtel’s model and the relevance of our strategic vision, grounded in innovation for a sustainable future. We have demonstrated that diversification is not merely a way to withstand uncertainty, but the key to leading the major changes shaping today’s economy and society. Magtel is now a multisector technology group integrating energy, engineering, telecommunications, infrastructure, digital transformation, mining, railways and R&D&I, and this structure enables us to deliver comprehensive solutions and tackle challenges with confidence.

Energy: a key role in the sustainable transition

Within the energy sector, we have strengthened our role as an active player in the transition towards a more sustainable model. This year we have made progress on strategic projects that are shaping the future of the electricity system, such as BESS energy storage systems and our portfolio of pumped‑storage hydroelectric power plant projects exceeding 5,000 MW of installed capacity. These are complemented by photovoltaic developments, industrial maintenance activities, O&M services for photovoltaic plants, and evacuation lines, all of which consolidate our ability to integrate renewable energy into the grid and ensure system stability. This commitment has been recognised with the “Nuestra Energía” Award granted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, which distinguishes us as a key company in the rollout of sustainable energy. This recognition encourages us to continue leading innovation in energy storage and clean generation, because we know that the energy transition is not an option, but a shared responsibility.

Telecommunications: consolidating leadership

In telecommunications, we continue to strengthen our position as a strategic partner to the country’s leading operators. Spain is a European leader in connectivity, and Magtel helps to maintain this position by driving IoT solutions for critical infrastructure and providing it with the technology required to implement them. Our expertise in networks and maintenance enables us to anticipate market needs and support the country’s technological evolution, consolidating a leadership built on experience and the capacity for innovation.

Digital transformation: modernisation and social impact

Digital transformation continues to play a leading role in our activity. We continue to support our clients in their digital needs, implementing services across their corporate networks and electronic platforms, while also making progress in the responsible use of AI. This work allows us to take part in projects that not only modernise public administration, but also create opportunities for citizens and businesses.

Social commitment and infrastructure development

Our commitment to society is reflected in flagship projects that improve quality of life. This year, we have taken part in the construction of the new Mother and Child building at Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, as well as the Alcalá de Guadaíra tramway, where we were involved in the full construction and in all safety and communications infrastructure. At the same time, we have participated in major industrial projects that will generate employment and economic growth. In parallel, we continue to strengthen our presence in the digitalisation of the water cycle, deploying smart metering, sensors and early‑warning systems. Córdoba and Seville are now benchmarks in intelligent water management, and Magtel is at the heart of this transformation, delivering solutions that combine engineering and technology to safeguard an essential resource.

This year we have also received the Andalusian Mark of Excellence in Equality, which complements the national DIE distinction. New strategic milestone: defence capability

In addition, we are incorporating a new strategic milestone: our defence capability, an area in which Magtel is prepared to deliver advanced technological solutions in secure communications, critical infrastructure and intelligent systems, aligned with the most demanding standards. This step strengthens our service‑driven vocation in strategic sectors and positions us as a reliable partner in projects requiring the highest levels of specialisation and security.
