Magtel sponsors the first edition of the “Sustainable Horizon” awards, organized by the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (Claner), which recognize leadership in Andalusia’s energy transition among individuals, companies, and organizations.

These awards are divided into three categories: innovation, commitment, and sustainability. Their aim is to highlight the most innovative efforts and achievements in the field of renewable energy, developed within the community, with an emphasis on projects that demonstrate major technological advances.

They also reward projects or companies that have made a meaningful contribution to the community through renewable energy, whether through projects, education in sustainability, or clean energy initiatives. In addition, environmental sustainability awards are granted to entities that focus on implementing innovative business practices.

The awards ceremony took place yesterday evening, Tuesday, June 17, at the Palacio de la Motilla in Seville. The winners of these recognitions were: RPow, for its innovative green hydrogen production facility at the Port of Seville; Endesa, for the “Solar Cheese” project, which enables cheese production and grazing through the integration of solar panels into the land; BRUC, for its “habitat restoration in the Cádiz countryside” project.

Finally, the special CLANER “Energy Impulse” distinction was awarded to individuals or organizations playing a key role in driving renewable energies in Andalusia. This recognition went to the mayor of Carmona, Juan Ávila, for his support of renewable energy development and the energy transition in his municipality.

The event was part of the Sectoral Conferences organized by CLANER, which bring together the main players in the energy sector. It provided an opportunity to establish business connections, address potential challenges to the sector, and set objectives for sustainable development and renewable energies.
