Magtel, along with ICUBE Ingeniería, forms part of a consortium led by Felguera Tecnologías de la Información to develop the project “Augmented Factory 4.0 (AF4),” an augmented reality cyber-physical system for supporting real-time decision making in processes industries.
The purpose of this initiative is to facilitate in situ and real-time decision making through the creation of artificial intelligence algorithms and their application to mobile interactive devices specifically developed for conditions of use in industrial work environments with limited manual handling. The new AF4 platform will serve to complement the current supervision, control and data acquisition systems at industrial process plants.

This augmented reality project, that began in July 2015 and will end in December 2017, is subsidised by CDTI through the FEDER INNTERCONECTA programme (Project ITC-20151231). It also has the support of the Ministry of Economy and Competitivity and co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
