Magtel Foundation, Endesa Foundation, and the Granada City Council launch a training program in renewable energies for vulnerable people

Endesa Foundation and Magtel Foundation, with the support of the Granada City Council, launch a training program in the energy sector for residents of the city’s Northern District.

The aim of this project is to improve employability by training participants in the assembly and maintenance of photovoltaic solar installations, a growing sector with high labor demand.

This training program, which will include two editions with 15 participants each, is designed to provide enrolled students with comprehensive instruction combining theory, practice, and professional experience.

The course consists of 270 hours of training, delivered at the Municipal Center for Training and Employment North, focused on developing the basic skills required to achieve energy-related objectives. In addition, students will complete 100 hours of practical training in energy-sector companies, where they will be able to apply their knowledge and become familiar with the materials they will later work with.

The first edition of the program began on January 8 and will conclude on April 4, while the second edition will take place from April 21 to July 15, 2025. The program’s main goal is to train 30 participants, aged between 20 and 45, who are unemployed or seeking a career change. Applicants must also meet the physical requirements for outdoor and at-height work, as well as hold a driver’s license recognized in Spain.

The program is made possible through the collaboration of:

  • Endesa Foundation, which contributes over €70,000 to support the program financially and provides assistance in its implementation.
  • Magtel Foundation, which leads the classroom and workshop training, manages internships in partner companies, and oversees dissemination of project-related activities.
  • Granada City Council, which promotes the initiative through social agents in the Northern District and provides access to the necessary facilities.

Founded in 2012, Magtel Foundation is a non-profit organization created to generate, support, and promote initiatives that contribute to building a better and more equal society both nationally and internationally. Our mission is firmly committed to generating and providing value to society.
