Magtel has taken part in the “Extreme Temperatures and Safe Work” seminar, held in Écija and organised by ASEPEYO in collaboration with the Écija Business Development Centre (CEDE), with the support of the Écija City Council. The event brought together companies, institutions and professionals to address the challenges posed by extreme heat in the workplace.
During the seminar, Magtel highlighted its experience in managing risks associated with adverse weather conditions, particularly in sectors involving outdoor activity such as energy and infrastructure. Through Noemí Rodríguez Avecilla, a technician from the Joint Prevention Service, the company addressed the impact of extreme weather phenomena on work activities, as well as the preventive measures in place to ensure the safety and health of its teams.
The event also featured participation from organisations such as the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, SAMU School, Grupo Cunext and ITURRI, providing a comprehensive overview of the risks associated with extreme heat. The topics covered included new developments in heat management, the applicable regulatory framework, healthcare responses to heatstroke, and the implementation of specific protocols in industrial environments.
ASEPEYO also presented tools and solutions aimed at preventing and mitigating heat stress, focusing on anticipation and the use of data as key elements to strengthen safety in high-exposure environments.
The organisers highlighted the importance of promoting spaces for training and reflection to help companies anticipate emerging challenges in occupational health and safety. In this context, Magtel’s participation reinforces its commitment to the continuous improvement of working conditions and the protection of people, in collaboration with the region’s business and institutional network.
