“Preparadas”: the program by the Andalusian Regional Government, implemented by Magtel, which has already trained more than 68,000 Andalusian women in digital skills since 2024.

Magtel continues to develop the “Preparadas” program, an initiative launched in early March 2024 that continues to strengthen free digital training aimed at unemployed women. The program is promoted by the Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment of the Regional Government of Andalusia. This project is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds, under Investment 3 of Component 19, “Digital Skills for Employment.”

The program’s goal is to improve the employability of women residing in towns with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants who are registered as unemployed or in a temporary layoff (ERTE) situation with the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE). Through digital training, participants acquire new skills that enable them to expand their professional opportunities, access the job market under better conditions, or launch their own business projects.

The training sessions are held in person and tailored to the needs of each group, with 40-hour courses covering a wide range of content. Participants learn about digital tools for job searching, office software, e-commerce, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, among other topics. In addition, they can design their own learning pathway by taking several courses within the same area.

To date, the program has reached 556 municipalities across Andalusia, including 59 neighborhoods and vulnerable areas in major cities. So far, more than 68,000 women have received training through 6,105 courses delivered over the past two years, representing 80% of the total target. Given the program’s success and impact, its implementation has been extended until June 2026, with the goal of reaching 85,000 trained women.

In line with this, last Thursday, October 16, an event titled “Preparadas” was held in Mairena del Alcor (Seville), where around 400 people gathered to show their support for the program alongside Rocío Blanco, the Regional Minister of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment of the Andalusian Government, who highlighted the “extraordinary impact” of the “Preparadas” program.

Magtel is the company responsible for the program’s technical and operational management. Its team, made up of four specialized technicians, continues to carry out activities throughout Andalusia. They currently focus their efforts on on-site visits to courses in order to quickly identify and resolve any issues, ensuring the smooth running of each training activity. They also conduct a thorough review of documentation to guarantee the highest quality and technical rigor throughout the process.

In this way, Magtel maintains its active commitment to equal opportunities, digital transformation, and women’s employability, consolidating its position as a key partner in promoting talent and technological skills across Andalusia.
