Official Visit by the Regional Government of Andalusia to the Construction Works of Córdoba’s Maternal and Child Hospital.

This morning, the Government Delegate of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Adolfo Molina, the Delegate for Health and Consumer Affairs of Andalusia, María Jesús Botella, and the Managing Director of Reina Sofía Hospital, Francisco Triviño, visited the construction site of the new Maternal and Child Hospital being carried out by Magtel in collaboration with Sorigué.

The delegation toured the facilities where work is underway to provide services as soon as possible. Representing Magtel were the company’s CEO, Manuel García Lláser, and the Group Manager of the Infrastructure Division, Javier Alférez.

The hospital, which has already surpassed 50% of its construction, has 70 professionals working on-site in various areas since construction began in November 2023.

Construction of the Building

The building will cover an area of 10,572 square meters and will consolidate all pediatric consultations, which are currently spread across different hospital centers in the city.

For the hospital complex, it will represent a “major healthcare hub,” offering more modern and functional spaces, as highlighted by the Director of Reina Sofía Hospital, Francisco Triviño, who also attended the visit.

The building will have seven levels and house 140 consultation rooms. Two of these are designated for a cafeteria and teaching spaces, one for the basement, and the remaining four for outpatient consultations. The project also includes a significant exterior urbanization of approximately 10,000 square meters to improve accessibility to the hospital.

Magtel will carry out the works of the second phase of the Bujalance supply market.
