This capacity is granted based not only on technical considerations but also on socioeconomic and environmental benefits for the areas affected by plant closures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MITECO therefore assesses the projects\u2019 contribution to the Just Transition Strategy and prioritizes those that minimize environmental impact, invest in circular economy initiatives or biodiversity improvement, and provide socioeconomic benefits to the region\u2014such as promoting local and women\u2019s employment, supporting local industrial, agricultural, or social projects, offering training for local residents, developing self-consumption, investing in the provincial value chain, and involving local investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Magtel and BlueStorage \u00a9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is part of the innovative storage solutions developed by Magtel through its BlueStorage portfolio, which promotes reversible hydropower as a key tool in the energy transition. The initiative maximizes the integration of non-manageable renewable energy sources into the power system and thus contributes to Spain\u2019s socioeconomic
