Magtel\u2019s Telecommunications Division is carrying out several railway projects for CAF Signalling S.L. and the Regional Government of Andalusia in Huesca, the Madrid\u2013Albacete railway line, and Andalusia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For CAF Signalling S.L., Magtel is executing a project in the province of Huesca, on the Gra\u00f1\u00e9n\u2013Monz\u00f3n section covering 60 km, as well as another on the Madrid\u2013Albacete line, specifically the La Gineta\u2013Socu\u00e9llamos section, which spans 90 km. In addition, for the Regional Government of Andalusia, Magtel is working as part of a joint venture with ENYSE and Syneox to deliver the Alcal\u00e1 de Guada\u00edra tramway, particularly the line that will connect Pablo de Olavide University with Montecarmelo, covering nearly 20 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magtel is carrying out railway modernization works promoted by ADIF as part of the Construction Project and Execution of Works for the Signalling of the Gra\u00f1\u00e9n\u2013Monz\u00f3n section. The project is being executed for CAF Signalling S.L., with ADIF as the final client, and aims to improve safety, efficiency, and operational capacity along this strategic corridor in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The works began in September 2024 and are scheduled for completion by year-end. Key actions include the installation of train detection systems, signals, terminal boxes, cabinets, and the corresponding signalling and power cabling, as well as the dismantling of existing infrastructure. The ASFA train protection system will also be installed to guarantee safe train circulation, along with related dismantling work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project also involves interventions on fixed telecommunications systems, including the installation of digital transmission systems, distribution panels, splicing, and testing of the fiber-optic communication network. Civil works include trenches, ducts, conduits, inspection chambers, and manholes required to support the new infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another innovative aspect of this project is the integration of power systems, including the installation of transformers, connections, 3\/3KV power cable networks, and earthing systems. All works are carried out under strict safety conditions, supported by certified safety pilots to ensure protection during on-track operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Magtel reinforces its position as a benchmark in the railway signalling sector and its commitment to modern, safe, and sustainable infrastructure that enhances connectivity across Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magtel is also delivering works for the installation of centralized traffic control along the Alc\u00e1zar de San Juan\u2013Albacete railway line, part of the Madrid\u2013Albacete corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This project involves the Construction and Execution of Works for the installation of the Automatic Bi-Directional Block System (BAB) on the La Gineta\u2013Socu\u00e9llamos section, as well as Centralized Traffic Control between Alc\u00e1zar de San Juan and Albacete, within the Madrid\u2013Alicante line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project, led by CAF Signalling for ADIF, includes specialized works in signalling systems, train protection, fixed telecommunications, civil works, and railway safety. Works commenced in September 2024 and are expected to be completed by year-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Magtel has deployed a team of 25 to 30 professionals, both direct and indirect staff, reaffirming its capacity to manage highly complex technological projects. This strengthens its role in modernizing Spain\u2019s railway infrastructure and consolidates its position as a strategic partner in critical transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magtel is part of the joint venture awarded the contract to deliver the Railway Systems for signalling, communications, control, and safety on the tramway line connecting Pablo de Olavide University with Montecarmelo in Alcal\u00e1 de Guada\u00edra (Seville). The consortium, composed of Magtel, ENYSE, and Syneox Rail, is responsible for implementing the key technological systems required for the correct operation of the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, through the Department of Development, Territorial Planning, and Housing, and covers part of the critical technological systems required for the full operation of the line. The execution period is 16 months, from November 2024 to the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project includes tram signalling systems, centralized traffic control, and punctual automatic braking, as well as fixed and mobile communications systems, safety, passenger information, ticketing, and energy systems.
