{"id":182,"date":"2019-05-01T10:34:05","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T08:34:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/desarrollobeta.es\/magtel\/rd-optimum-project-finland\/"},"modified":"2022-11-03T09:40:10","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T08:40:10","slug":"rd-optimum-project-finland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/magtel.es\/en\/rd-optimum-project-finland\/","title":{"rendered":"Magtel\u2019s R&amp;D team meets their partners of the Optimum Project Consortium in Finland"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Over than 20 international organizations are working together with the aim of consolidating the digitalization and automation in the industry<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>R&amp;D Division of Magtel<\/strong> has attended a new meeting of the <strong>Optimum Project Consortium<\/strong>, an international initiative led by the German company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demagcranes.com\/es\/frontpage\"><strong>Demag Cranes &amp; Components GmbH<\/strong><\/a> for the creation of a<strong> distributed industrial control system based on IoT<\/strong> (Internet of Things).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, which has taken place at the headquarters of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.konecranes.es\/\"><strong>Konecranes<\/strong> <\/a>in <strong>Finland<\/strong>, a company linked to <strong>Demag<\/strong>, has been assisted by <strong>Diego Aranda, Industry 4.0 Project Manager in the Energy &amp; Environment Area of the R&amp;D team of Magtel<\/strong>. In addition to reporting the development and status of the project, Aranda has addressed a presentation on distributed control platforms and has participated in the design of part of the architecture of the pilot plant\u2019s communication system, as well as in the planning of the dissemination and implementation of the project.<\/p>\n<p>During the work days, attendees also have had the opportunity to visit the <strong>Konecranes<\/strong> cranes manufacturing plant and learn about their innovation projects. Along with <strong>Magtel<\/strong> and <strong>Kronecranes<\/strong>, the <strong>University of Rostock<\/strong> (Germany), <strong>Demag Cranes<\/strong> (Germany), <strong>Tarakos<\/strong> (Germany), <strong>Ermetal Otomotiv<\/strong> (Turkey), <strong>Ifak<\/strong> (Institut f\u00fcr Automation und Kommunikation) (Germany), <strong>Thorsis Technologies<\/strong> (Germany), <strong>ETRI<\/strong> (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) (South Korea) and <strong>Handysoft<\/strong> (South Korea) have also participated in the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smarter and more respectful industrial plants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magtel.es\/projects\/optimum\/\"><strong>Optimum<\/strong><\/a> is a project resulting from the work of a consortium made up of <strong>more than 20 companies and research institutes from Germany, Romania, United Kingdom, Turkey, South Korea and Spain<\/strong>. Its objective is to develop <strong>more intelligent and respectful industrial plants<\/strong> through <strong>interconnected production chain<\/strong>s.
